Job summary
Full Time Band 4 AFC - Medical Education Administrator based at Prospect Park Hospital - Reading.
This role provides comprehensive administrative and organisational support to the Medical Education service, working collaboratively across medical staffing, education teams, learners, and external partners.
The post holder helps maintain safe, supportive learning environments and ensures smooth delivery of medical student programmes, foundation teaching, clinical placements, and work experience.
Responsibilities include coordinating training activities, maintaining accurate education and finance records, supporting learner wellbeing, and ensuring compliance with governance and reporting requirements.
The role demands strong communication, digital proficiency, attention to detail, and the ability to manage complex, changing learner needs while contributing to high-quality training experiences and effective service operations.
You will report to the Medical Education Manager.
Main duties of the job
Administrative support -- Deliver comprehensive admin support across medical education programmes and services. Record management -- Maintain accurate training, placement and finance records, ensuring compliance and timely reporting. Learner support -- Respond to learner queries, and escalate issues appropriately. Programme coordination -- Organise teaching sessions, placements, inductions, events and resources for facilitators and learners. Stakeholder liaison -- Communicate effectively with universities, training providers and internal teams. Governance and reporting - Prepare accurate reports, ensure legal documents are in place, and support quality metrics.

GCSElevel education or equivalent. Strong IT skills including Excel, MS Forms and digital systems. Excellent communication written, verbal and interpersonal. Ability to work with senior staff and handle sensitive issues professionally. Ability to coordinate complex activities and manage competing priorities.
