About the job As Department Manager of User Interface & Cloud Software, you will lead a team of 14 highly skilled software engineers responsible for developing DEIF's cloud platform and digital user interfaces. The department plays a key role in shaping the digital experience of our products and enabling customers to monitor, configure, and optimise their energy systems. You will be responsible for ensuring the department has the right competencies, resources, and direction to deliver on DEIF's ambitions within Cloud Software and UI Development. To lead technical professionals effectively, you should have a solid understanding of software development and modern web technologies. This enables you to engage in technical discussions and act as a credible sparring partner for experienced engineers, architects, and stakeholders. As a manager, your success will be measured by the success of your people. You will create clarity in situations of uncertainty, support decision-making in projects, and help the team stay focused on delivering results while continuing to grow and develop. Read more about DEIF’s performance and strategic initiatives and goals here: Annual Report 2025 Your responsibilities Lead, motivate, and develop a team of 14 software engineers Drive execution of strategic initiatives within cloud and user interface software Ensure the right competencies and resources are in place to achieve department objectives Foster strong collaboration with other software departments, Project Managers and other stakeholders Contribute to architecture and technology direction within the area together with technical specialists Provide clear direction when priorities change or uncertainty arises Build a high-performing culture based on trust, accountability, and continuous improvement Your profile You are passionate about developing people and creating results through collaboration, trust, and clear direction. You may already have experience as a people manager, or perhaps you are currently leading projects or technical teams and are ready to take the next step into leadership. You have a solid understanding of software development and can act as a credible sparring partner to engineers, architects, and stakeholders. You don't need to have all the answers yourself, but you know how to leverage the expertise around you to make sound decisions and set direction. As a person, you are comfortable navigating complexity and uncertainty. You build credibility through your technical insights, sound judgement, clear communication, and ownership of decisions. Furthermore, you: Hold a relevant degree within software engineering, computer science, electronics, or a related field Have a good understanding of software development and preferably cloud or web technologies Are skilled at building relationships and creating alignment across stakeholders Enjoy developing people and building high-performing teams Communicate fluently in English, preferably also Danish.
