About this role

We are looking for an academic employee in a technical-administrative position to support research activities involving simulation of transmission electron microscopy. The position will focus on computational simulations of transmission electron microscopy images and related signals, with particular emphasis on freestanding oxide membranes. The work will support ongoing research on advanced oxide materials and their structural characterization. We are especially looking for a candidate with experience in ab initio TEM simulations and expertise in the use of abTEM or similar simulation tools. The candidate should be able to perform, analyse, and interpret TEM simulations and compare them with experimental microscopy data. The position is suitable for a candidate who enjoys working at the interface between computational modelling and experimental materials characterization, and who can contribute to a collaborative research environment. Responsibilities and qualifications The main tasks will include: Simulation of TEM and STEM images for freestanding oxide membranes Use of abTEM or related computational tools for electron microscopy simulations Comparison of simulated and experimental TEM data Support in data analysis, figure preparation, and documentation Collaboration with researchers working on oxide membranes and electron microscopy The ideal candidate has a relevant background in physics, materials science, nanotechnology, or a related field. Experience with transmission electron microscopy, crystallography, atomistic structure models, Python-based simulation workflows, and ab initio methods will be considered an advantage. Salary and terms of employment The appointment will be based on the collective agreement with the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations (AC). You are employed as an Academic Officer.
