Hope Clinic is a non-denominational Christian medical and social service provider. Serving all in Jesus' name, we provide totally free whole-person care to the uninsured and underinsured, We are currently seeking a full-time Development Director to support our mission by cultivating strong donor partnerships and increasing revenue and awareness through the essential functions listed below.
The Development Director will plan, implement, and oversee all development and fundraising activities designed to achieve short- and long-term organizational goals. Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer and working collaboratively with the Chief Executive Officer, this position is responsible for the strategic direction of the Development and Outreach department, focusing heavily on donor engagement and cultivation, major gift solicitation, and a robust annual giving plan.

Essential functions include:
• Working with CEO to determine financial goals and priorities
• Establishing strategic fundraising objectives for Hope, setting one year, five year, and longer-term goals
• Maintaining and tracking regular communication with donors to cultivate giving opportunities
• Identifying prospective donors and determining cultivation strategy
• Establishing major giving program
• Assisting and advising CEO, board, and other stakeholders in their solicitation efforts by providing strategic counsel, donor portfolio information, and general support
• Acknowledging major donors through public and private recognition efforts
• Overseeing all communication and outreach activities to ensure consistent messaging that promotes engagement and giving opportunities
• May serve as primary contact for all media inquiries, interviews, and requests
To be successful in this critical role, the ideal candidate will possess the following competencies:

• Sensitivity to cultural diversity and effective ecumenical outreach
• Understanding of fundraising software platforms and ability to use and/or oversee donor software systems
Minimum requirements include:
• Bachelor’s degree
• At least 5 years of progressive experience in development and fundraising for a nonprofit organization
• Demonstrated experience with donor cultivation, major gift solicitation and stewardship, and annual giving
• Experience with development and fundraising communications, special events, and grant writing
