Position Summary
The Distillery and Tasting Room Supervisor drives commercial performance and operational efficiency through advanced inventory management, sales forecasting, and direct oversight of production scheduling. This role manages day-to-day tasting room operations and coordinates the hands-on bottling of moonshine flavors to meet market demand.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Inventory & Forecasting: Directs inventory management, tracks stock levels, and utilizes sales data to forecast future product and material needs. [1]
• Production Scheduling: Builds and maintains production schedules for bottling specific moonshine flavors based on inventory demands and forecasting metrics.
• Bottling Operations: Oversees the physical bottling line, ensuring quality control, proper labeling, and safety protocols are met during flavor runs.
• Staff Scheduling: Creates staff rosters three weeks in advance to ensure optimal floor coverage while respecting team work-life balance.
• Hospitality Leadership: Fosters a welcoming distillery environment through high-quality guest interactions and active floor supervision.
• Issue Resolution: Handles guest complaints efficiently to ensure repeat business, total satisfaction, and positive brand perception.
• Facility Operations: Manages opening and closing procedures, ensuring strict adherence to safety, housekeeping, and presentation checklists.
• Quality Assurance: Conducts regular staff audits to guarantee all company service and operational standards are consistently achieved.
• Compliance Management: Maintains strict compliance with internal policies and all federal, state, and local distillery regulations.
• Team Communication: Delivers clear verbal and written directives to keep the staff aligned on daily production and sales goals.
