About this role
Position summary
We are looking for a hands-on HR professional to manage HR activities for Ad Terra’s Kuala Lumpur office, with a balanced focus on Talent Acquisition and HR operations. Reporting directly to the Senior HR Manager and working closely with the management, you will be the local HR point of reference, supporting managers and taking ownership of day-to-day people matters.
Key responsibilities
HR Operations & Core Processes
• Own HR operations across the full employee lifecycle — contracts, amendments, documentation, records, and reporting
• Coordinate payroll, benefits, visas, and HR administration with external service providers
• Ensure full compliance with Malaysian labor law and local HR regulations
• Manage employee relations matters and provide hands-on HR support to managers
• Partner with local managers on people decisions, organizational structure, and workforce planning
Talent Acquisition & Workforce Support
• Own full-cycle recruitment (sourcing, screening, interviewing, offer negotiation), with a strong focus on technical, project-based, and specialist profiles
• Build and maintain talent pipelines across multiple channels (job boards, LinkedIn, referrals, agencies) to anticipate current and future hiring needs
• Track and report on recruitment KPIs (time-to-fill, cost-per-hire, pipeline quality) to anticipate current and further hiring needs
• Support onboarding, offboarding, and workforce coordination in line with business requirements
• Work closely with management on staffing needs and operational priorities
Professional Networks & Local Representation
• Build and leverage professional networks within the Oil & Gas, energy, and industrial ecosystem to support recruitment and business needs
• Act as a local HR reference for internal stakeholders and selected external partners
Alignment
• Work as an integral part of the wider HR function, ensuring consistency in policies, processes and practices
• Maintain close alignment with headquarters, ensuring regular communication, visibility on local HR activities, people matters and key metrics
Profile & experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
• 8–10 years of HR experience, combining strong Talent Acquisition expertise with solid HR generalist and operational skills
• Experience in Oil & Gas, energy, engineering, or industrial environments
• Proven track record in full-cycle recruitment, including technical and specialist profiles
• Strong knowledge of Malaysian labor law and HR best practices
• Comfortable operating autonomously in a fast-paced, international environment, across time zones and cultures
• Pragmatic, execution-oriented mindset with a strong sense of ownership
• Fluent English (written and spoken)
