POSITION: Inventory Control Manager

SHIFT: Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

SALARY: $69,935.63 - $75,000+ DOE + Full Benefits Package

LOCATION: Huron, SD

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible for the overall accuracy of inventory, shipping and receiving at the designated location.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Follow all company safety and quality requirements.

• Implement standard inventory control policies and procedures established by Corporate.

• Implement processes for receiving usage, transfers and shipping established by Corporate.

• Complete the Daily Inventory Control Checklist in a timely manner.

• Work with and communicate regularly with purchasing, planners, Inventory Specialist, shop personnel and other divisions of TNS on inventory levels, maintenance, minimums and maximums of inventory items.

• Implement standard cycle counting process as established by Corporate.

• Generate, perform and post cycle counts and sweeps.

• Performing inventory transactions in ERP and Tekla Systems.

• Assist production with immediate inventory needs when necessary.

• Responsible for the receiving of materials, both physically and digitally through system processes.

• Supervise and coordinate a standardized annual physical inventory for location as needed.

• Identify major inventory control weaknesses and make recommendations for improvement.

• Responsible for physical organization and storage of inventory.

• Identify and resolve inventory discrepancies.

• Identify damaged, obsolete and slow-moving inventory items.

• Apply root cause analysis and actively participate in the closing of site Corrective Actions (CA's) and Non-Conformances (NC's) to ensure our internal and external customers receive the highest quality product.

• Track and report scrap.

• Responsible for assisting and/or filling in for direct reports as needed.

• Responsible for hiring, training, and performing employee evaluations for direct reports.

• Willing to work flexible hours and overtime or weekends as needed.

• Prompt and dependable attendance.

• Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE

• High School Diploma or GED required.

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Management or related field or equivalent experience of 10 years or more in manufacturing or fabrication environment preferred.

• 5 years experience in manufacturing with inventory control experience, preferably with steel products preferred.

• 3 to 5 years supervisory experience preferred.
