Schedule: 32 hours per week, 7pm to 7am, every other weekend required| Job Location Type: In Person
The Harbor Unit is a 17-bed unit on our Baltimore/Washington Campus, in Howard County, that serves adults 18 and older with a wide variety of psychiatric diagnoses, including mood disorders, anxiety disorders, and psychotic disorders. The inpatient treatment focus is on crisis stabilization and medication management by a psychiatrist, with an average length of stay of between five and 10 days.
As a Mental Health Worker you will:
• Participate in the planning and evaluation of patient needs based on patient behaviors.
• Provide direct patient care services in accordance with the treatment plan and under the direction of a professional nurse.
• Assist in providing a safe and therapeutic environment according to established policies and procedures.
The pay range for this position is $19.36 minimum to $28.70 maximum. Pay for this position is determined on a number of factors, including but not limited to, years and level of related experience.
Requirements:
• HS Diploma/GED. Human Services related degree or past direct care or related experience strongly preferred.
• Must be available to work every other weekend (Saturday & Sunday).
• All new clinical staff will begin their extended clinical orientation/training immediately following your first day of employment.
