About this role
JOB SUMMARY
To maintain all electric motors, control boxes, starters and PLC's operation of all electric equipment and repair.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Maintenance and repair of motors
• Maintenance on control boxes
• Maintenance on PLC's, variable speed drives etc.
• Maintenance on starters
• Run of conduit and wiring
• Replacement of parts as needed
• Installing and removal of machinery
• Know emergency procedures when lights go out in plant
• Procedures for lockout/tag out
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
• High School Diploma, General Educational Development Diploma (GED) or equivalent experience
• Strong background in electrical
• Good work history
• 3 years' experience as an electrician in an industrial environment desired

• Background in industrial electricity
• Basic PLC understanding and usage skills
• Must be able to understand and carry out basic instructions while performing manual labor related tasks
• Must be able to successfully use basic, math, writing, and reading skills necessary to complete the required paperwork and projects

• On the job training:
o Complete Apprenticeship program
o Credit for previous applicable schooling
o Use of PC for program trouble shooting
o Schooling on safety
o Lockout procedures

o MP2 training, writing work orders and purchase requests
o GMP, Food Safety for Maintenance
