About this role

Position Summary

The Laundry Attendant is responsible for the laundry services of the hotel, ensuring each station is always organized, clean, and ready for work. When working, you have a positive and engaging attitude with guests and coworkers, in addition to ensure the quality and success of each service. You are great at multi-tasking and can follow instructions well. The Laundry Attendant is a fast-paced worker who thrives in a team-oriented environment.

Essential Functions

• Retrieve all soiled linens to be sorted and treated.

• Load laundry into washer and add specified cleaning agents to then be dried as indicated.

• Sort and fold or hang clean dried items according to company quality standards.

• Sort items by color, weight, and/or fabric type when necessary or when directed.

• Maintain inventory of all cleaning supplies and communicate needs to a supervisor when necessary.

• Maintain all laundry equipment and inform facilities manager as to any maintenance needs.

• Uphold a friendly demeanor with all guests and interact accordingly, including salutations upon entry and exit.

• Adhere to all hotel policies and procedures throughout the execution of tasks and responsibilities.

• Sustain the safety of the property though risk-management behavior, proper inspections, participation in Safety and Security protocols and knowledge of emergency procedures.

• Turn in lost and found items to supervisors and complete end-of-shift responsibilities such as returning and restocking supply carts.

• Follow all SOPs, policies, safety protocols, and reliability standards; remain open to feedback and strive for operational excellence through ongoing improvement.

• Maintain knowledge of and comply with departmental policies, service procedures, 4 Keys service standards, and safety and security procedures.

• Perform all additional duties as assigned by management.

Skills and Abilities

• Understand and align with the mission, vision, and goals of the hotel.

• Prioritize tasks, work efficiently with limited supervision, and manage multiple tasks with attention to detail, speed, and accuracy.

• Communicate effectively in the primary workplace language, demonstrating excellent communication, follow-up, and organizational skills.

• Work well under pressure and in challenging conditions, using good judgment to resolve problems, follow directions, and collaborate effectively as part of a team.

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions:

The minimum physical requirements for this position include but are not limited to:

· Flexible and long hours sometimes required

· Must be able to lift and/or carry up to 50 pounds

· Ability to hear, understand and communicate orally and in writing to communicate with staff, vendors, and guests a normal in-person and phone conversation

· Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time

· Ability to bend and twist, push and pull, stoop, and kneel
