About this role
Responsibilities:
• Coordinate with Sales to evaluate project requirements and develop material and labor estimates for customer proposals.
• Develop material take-offs based upon equipment data sheets and drawings.
• Provide support in the formation of proposal level scheduling.
• Coordinate material and auxiliary equipment requirements and costing as well as accompanying basis of estimate statements and estimate clarifications and exceptions.
• Support active projects in the preparation of estimates for change orders.
• Maintain records of current materials costs and delivery times for frequently used products and materials.
• Read and analyze blueprints, technical drawings, and project specifications to ensure accurate scope evaluation and cost estimation.
• Review project performance and compare to “as sold” estimates to confirm and enhance accuracy of estimates.
• Make suggestions for changes or updates to current records.
• Revise estimations based upon actual designs for future use.
Qualifications (Education and Experience):
• Two- or four-year degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Construction technology preferred.
• An equivalent combination of education and professional experience will also be considered an asset.
• Proficiency with MS Excel.
• Prior experience in an estimating role preferred.
• Experience in manufacturing or industrial construction industry highly desirable.
• Experience with schedule and estimating programs considered an asset.

Compensation:
$70,000 - $90,000 per year
