About this role
Summary:
As an Inbound Lead, you will be ensuring all inbound departments meet company standards in safety, quality, productivity and housekeeping; Receiving, Bulk, Stocking, Inbound Support. Work with Supervisors to build and maintain focus on Company Goals. You will drive a stand up, battery powered, forklift truck, to load or unload pallets into designed areas through the warehouse. You will utilize either a cherry picker, reach truck, or transporter to push, pull, lift, stack, tier, or move products or pallets.
Schedule:
Tues – Sat 9:00am to 5:30pm
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Meets productivity and accuracy standard.
• Follows all module safety training/requirements.
• Possible floater to other Imperial warehouses or different areas of the Distribution Center
• Adhere to strict safety, quality and production standards.
• Help maintain a clean and organized workspace.
• Assist Supervisor in providing team member direction.
• Assist Supervisor in providing team members daily work assignments, including Start of shift, and through the shift. Monitor workload in assigned area and move labor as necessary.
• Works with trainers and also be a trainer to new hires and transfers; training them on Inbound process and acclimate them to company culture, expectations, and connecting them to the team.
• Utilize the radio for communication with Supervisors, Inventory Control, etc.
• Adhere to all company policies
• Follow direction of other duties and tasks as assigned.
• Notifies supervisor of equipment malfunction.
• While our Inbound Lead is supporting our Inbound department, it is critical you are cross trained in all areas of inbound. Below is a list of the responsibilities from each of those areas. This position is expected to learn all Forklift Operator, Stocker, Receiver, Inbound Support Responsibilities.
Qualification: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required to perform this job.
• High School Diploma or GED
• Basic computer skills – requiring able to use a log in and password and follow simple instructions.
• Some warehouse experience preferred
• Training, coaching and/or leading others experience preferred
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
• Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.
