This role exists to provide inventory control and cost management on all Maintenance and Construction inventoried supplies for all Dollywood Company Properties. All of this will be done in a manner consistent with the mission, values and operating philosophies and standards of the Dollywood Company.

Summary of Essential Functions and Responsibilities

• Confers with vendors to obtain product or service information such as price, availability, and delivery schedule

• Helps select products for purchase by researching items needed

• Ensures shipments and inventory transactions are accurate

• Organizes and maintains inventory facility. Maintain facilities by organizing floor space, adhering to storage design principles, and recommending improvements

• Maintains inventory by conducting monthly physical counts; reconciling variances; inputting data

• Manages the inventory monitoring cycle counts and conducting audits of same to validate results

• Works closely with Finance and other Inventory Control Teams to ensure we are all using the same process, consistently

• Works diligently with Maintenance and Construction leadership to stay within the annual budget

• Maintains records such as items purchased, costs, delivery, product quality or performance, and inventories

• Discusses defective or unacceptable goods with others to determine source of trouble and take corrective action

• Approves invoices for payment

• Compiles data from sources such as purchase orders, invoices, and accounting report information into computer to maintain inventory, purchasing, shipping, or other records

• Compiles stock control records and information such as consumption rate and characteristics of items in storage to determine stock supply and need for replenishment

• Prepares requisitions, orders, or other documents for purchasing or requisitioning new or additional stock items

• Compares stock numbers, authorized substitutes, and other listed information with catalogs, manuals, parts lists, and similar references to verify accuracy of requisitions and shipping orders

• Reviews files to determine unused items and recommends disposal of excess stock

• Ensures a positive working relationship with our customers (the parks operating teams), other support teams and our Guests

• Monitors operations and resolve problems as host-in-charge of Maintenance and Construction and Park PIC

• Performs site surveys & assist in development of Preventative Maintenance programs

• Performs plan reviews for all new Expense & Capital projects to ensure correct manufacture selection and detailed review of provided specifications to ensure proper material selections

• Assists Project Managers, Facility Managers & Supervisors with planning on all projects

• Acts as PIC for the Facility Maintenance division

Education and Experience Required

• High school degree or equivalent required

• Must be at least 18 years old

• Work experience that demonstrates successful execution of similar duties and responsibilities in a commercial/industrial environment

• Knowledge of equipment, and materials common to the carpentry and maintenance trade

• Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, JD Edwards accounting and inventory software and Internet Explorer

• Ability to safely operate company vehicles according to company policy. Must have valid driver's license, proof of auto liability insurance and acceptable motor vehicle driving record

• Offers of employment are contingent upon satisfactory completion of background screening which includes criminal history and motor vehicle record check

• Able to tolerate approved exposure levels to various chemicals found in cleaning solvents, adhesives, paints, and lubricants

• Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry

Physical Requirements | Environmental Conditions

• Lifting and Carrying: Position may require occasional to frequent lifting of up to 50 lbs utilizing company's safety guidelines for safe lifting

• Mobility: Position may require intermittent to prolonged sitting, standing and/or walking for duration of shift, up to 13 hours

• Repetitive Movements: This position may require performing repetitive movements and tasks throughout the shift, including repeated use of hands, arms or other body parts as part of typical job functions

• Environmental Conditions: This position requires the ability to perform work tasks in varying weather conditions to include extreme cold and heat

• Cognitive and Sensory Requirements: This position requires strong cognitive skills, including the ability to think critically, solve problems, process and retain information, have attention to detail and communicate effectively using approved communication methods

• Able to sit and/or stand for long/short periods

• Able to balance, stoop, kneel, crawl, and crouch
