About this role
Key Responsibilities and Priorities:
• Promote safety culture through safety toolbox talks, safety committee participation, and positive reinforcement programs.
• Ensure compliance with Process / Final inspection requirements.
• Familiar with FAI (First Article Inspection)
• Perform Finished goods audit.
• Ensure compliance with Incoming material (receiving) inspection requirements.
• Document, file, and communicate inspection/testing results.
• Utilize test equipment: Calipers, Tape Measure, Comparator, Tensile Test Machines, Hardness testers, and other lab equipment.
• Read/Interpret drawings, routers (Work Orders), Bills of Material, and other part documentation and directives.
• Respond to emails regarding product and Quality concerns from internal correspondence.
• Ensure proper military part inspection using MIL specifications and sampling documents.
• Ensure accuracy of all data collected and entered.
• NMR/NCR (Non-Conforming Material Report) process.
• MRB (Material Review Board) process.
• 5S, Kanban and Continuous Improvement Activities.
Position Consults with: Quality, Production, Shipping/Receiving, and Office Personnel
Years of Experience & Qualifications Required:
• 2+ years of experience working in a Quality focused role within a manufacturing environment.
• Intermediate or higher aptitude with D-365 (ERP Software), MS Office tools (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Desired Skills:
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Organized with high attention to detail.
• Strong Problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of Root Cause Analysis (5-Why, 8D, ect.).
• Knowledge of Pre-Production testing, PPAP process.
• Ability to setup test machines with minimal instructions.
• Team player that excels in a collaborative environment.

Education Requirements:
• Strong technical aptitude as demonstrated through education (2-year technical degree) OR experience (2+ years in technical manufacturing roles).
Working Conditions/Travel Requirements:
• Environment includes office and manufacturing environments (hot in the summer, cool in the winter) and you may occasionally be required to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Work may require prolonged periods of sitting and focusing on computer screens or long periods of walking/standing in the manufacturing environment.
