The Assistant Bakery Manager plays a crucial role in the smooth operation of our bakery, assisting the Bakery Manager in all aspects of daily activities. This position requires a highly organized and motivated individual with a passion for baking and a strong understanding of bakery operations. The ideal candidate will possess excellent leadership and communication skills, a commitment to food safety and sanitation, and the ability to train and develop team members. This role involves overseeing sales, managing inventory, and ensuring exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities:
• Assist in the daily operations of the bakery, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to company standards.
• Supervise and support bakery staff, providing coaching and training to enhance their skills and performance.
• Manage inventory levels, including ordering supplies and minimizing waste through effective inventory management.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to strict food safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Provide excellent customer service, resolving customer issues and ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills to address operational challenges effectively.
• Contribute to a positive and productive work environment through effective communication and leadership.
Minimum Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven experience in a bakery or food service environment.
• Working knowledge of bakery operations, including baking techniques and equipment.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Thorough knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Working knowledge of inventory management principles.
• Valid Driver's License.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Associate's degree in culinary arts or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in a supervisory role within a bakery setting.
• Experience in training and development of bakery staff.
