About this role
Cardinal Shehan School, a vibrant Catholic elementary and middle school serving students in Baltimore, Maryland, is seeking a compassionate and dedicated School Nurse. The School Nurse is responsible for promoting the health and well-being of students and staff by providing basic medical care, managing student health records, administering medications in accordance with school policies, and serving as a liaison between families, healthcare providers, and the school community. The full-time Registered Nurse will work closely with members of the school community to maintain a healthy and supportive learning environment.
Essential Functions
• Provide first aid, medical care, and emergency care services to students, faculty, and staff.
• Administer medications and treatments to students as ordered by students' physicians.
• Assist in the collection and management of health forms.
• Create and maintain documentation of all encounters, assessments, and interventions.
• Serve as liaison between students, teachers and families in regard to health concerns.
Position Qualifications
• Current Maryland RN license - BSN preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience.
• Nursing experience in a high school setting.
• Current Red Cross or American Heart Association CPR/Basic Life Support certification.
• Ability to quickly and competently assess medical situations and escalate as needed.
Pay Range: $21.00 - $25.00, Hourly
