About this role
Machine Operation
• Set up and operate CNC laser cutting machines after the initial training period.
• Set up and operate laser automation after the initial training period.
• Load and secure raw sheet materials onto the laser table using appropriate handling equipment.
• Select and verify correct programs, cut paths, and material specifications.
• Monitor machine operations to ensure parts meet quality and dimensional requirements.
• Perform routine adjustments such as lens/nozzle changes, assist gas checks, and parameter offsets.
Quality & Inspection
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and part specifications.
• Conduct and document in-process and final inspections according to company standards.
• Maintain accurate quality and production records.
• Verify sheet thickness with micrometer.
Operational Responsibilities
• Perform daily machine checks, including assist gas, lubrication, coolant levels, and overall machine condition.
• Report equipment issues or malfunctions immediately to supervisors or maintenance personnel.
• Follow all operational procedures accurately and consistently.
• Actively participate in training to improve laser operation skills and technical knowledge.
• Suggest and support process improvements to increase efficiency, quality, and safety.
• Remove cut parts, scrap, and skeletons from the machine table safely and efficiently.
• Sort, stack, and stage finished parts for downstream processes (fab, weld, paint, etc.).
Physical Requirements
• Stand and walk for extended periods during the shift.
• Frequently lift and carry 20–50 lbs.
• Perform bending, twisting, reaching, and repetitive motions frequently.
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and overhead cranes (training provided).
