About this role
Overview:
The Driver transports materials and equipment to and from jobsites for the assigned division/area. The Driver assists the warehouse with inventory recordkeeping and general clean up as needed.
Essential Functions:
1. 90%
• Transports materials, tools, supplies, and heavy equipment to job sites in the assigned area.
• Loads and unloads trucks and secures materials and tools for transport.
• Supports and assists in job clean-offs and organizing and storing excess inventory.
• Assists in warehouse and storage areas clean-up and maintenance.
• Maintains tool inventory records for the assigned division.
• Maintains vehicles and ensures that the vehicles are in good working order.
2. Performs other duties as assigned. 10%
Education and Experience:
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Texas driver’s license with an excellent driving record required.
• Current forklift certification required.
• Prior experience in the construction industry preferred.
• Must be 21 years or older.
Skills/Abilities:
• Basic computer skills.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Able to abide by all company safety regulations and rules of conduct.
• Able to demonstrate knowledge of warehouse equipment.
Work Environment:
• Extended periods of driving.
• Outdoor environment with potential exposure to extreme temperatures, humidity, hazardous/loud equipment, and slippery surfaces.
Physical Demands:
• Must be able to lift and handle tools, material, and equipment up to 50lbs.
• Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Must be able to repeatedly lift, carry, push, pull, and handle products with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Must be able to climb, bend, reach, stoop, kneel, and stretch for extended periods with or without reasonable accommodation.
