Roles and Responsibilities Under the direction of the Control Room Operator or Shift Supervisor, responsible for the safe operation, monitoring, and recording of plant functions throughout the plant.Record and maintain data for instrumentation located throughout the plantMonitor readings on instrumentation for variances from prescribed operating standards and proceduresRespond to variances as instructed by the Control Room Operator or Shift Supervisor by adjusting equipment to maintain proper operating parametersMonitor plant facilities and equipment for safe performance of equipment and operationBe familiar with, and adhere to, all site EHS regulationsReport unsafe conditions or hazardsPerform adjustments and minor maintenance corrections on equipment found operating beyond the prescribed setting or an unsafe condition (oil, air, heater, steam, leaks, piping).Assist maintenance group in testing of equipmentOperate plant equipment (trucks, crane, forklift)Perform chemical tests for the plant water and steam systems to maintain proper steam qualitySupport maintenance activities on a part-time basis as required
Qualifications College or equivalent qualifications;2 years experience in a power plant operating environment;Experience plotting data and maintaining operating records;Prior experience on computer/microprocessor control system;Conversational in English;Ability to work rotating shifts (day and night)
