You'll be working as part of the North American Payroll team, taking on a newly created leadership role with the opportunity to shape processes, influence payroll strategy, and make a visible impact across both Canada and the United States. Reporting into a collaborative and supportive leadership team, you'll lead a group of payroll professionals while remaining hands-on in payroll operations, ensuring employees are paid accurately, compliantly, and on time.

A role you will love
Working closely with internal stakeholders and payroll professionals, you will provide expert guidance on payroll legislation, compliance requirements, and operational best practices, while fostering a collaborative and supportive team environment.
Some of your key responsibilities will include:
Leading and overseeing end-to-end payroll operations for Canada and the United StatesRemaining actively involved in payroll processing activities to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and complianceProviding subject matter expertise on North American payroll legislation, regulations, and best practicesSupporting complex payroll transactions, including share and equity compensation processingReviewing payroll controls, identifying opportunities for improvement, and implementing process enhancementsEnsuring payroll activities are completed in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements Managing payroll audits, reporting requirements, and compliance-related activitiesPartnering with Human Resources, Finance, Benefits, and other business groups to resolve payroll-related mattersCoaching and mentoring payroll team members, supporting capability development and succession planningMonitoring payroll performance metrics and driving operational excellence across the functionSupporting payroll system enhancements and continuous improvement initiatives, including work within both ADP and in-house payroll platform What will you bring to the role?
Extensive experience managing payroll operations across both Canada and the United States Proven experience processing payroll directly, with strong end-to-end payroll knowledge rather than solely leading teams Subject matter expertise in North American payroll legislation, compliance, taxation, and regulatory requirements Experience processing payroll for both exempt and non-exempt employees Previous experience using ADP payroll solutions Experience working with in-house payroll systemsDemonstrated success leading and developing payroll teams Minimum of 5 years of people management experience American Payroll Association (APA) membership or payroll certification is considered an asset Experience processing share or equity compensation through payroll is considered an asset Rewards designed for you
