About this role

Job Summary

The Manufacturing Manager is responsible for manufacturing engineering across filling, processing, utilities, and material flow, as well as packaging engineering, process readiness, and operational support for Project Nuri, a Greenfield CPS Korea facility.

The role ensures that manufacturing and packaging systems are designed, commissioned, and operated to deliver safe, high-quality, and efficient production while meeting business, regulatory, and sustainability requirements.

This role works closely with Engineering, Operations, Maintenance, Quality, Supply Chain, PMO, and external suppliers.

Support design, installation, commissioning, and start-up of manufacturing systems from Concept design to operational readinessMonitor project schedules, CAPEX utilization, and system performanceManage Engineering firms, external consultants, contractors, vendors, and internal stakeholdersEnsure manufacturing processes meet safety, quality, and business requirementsSupport Project Nuri manufacturing readiness in alignment with overall site design principles and future operational requirements.This is a senior individual contributor role with technical ownership and does not include direct people management responsibility. Key Responsibilities

Manufacturing & Packaging Design (Greenfield)

Support Concept, Basic, and Detailed Design phases for manufacturing and packaging systems in alignment with the Project Nuri master planProvide manufacturing and packaging input into filling and processing equipment design, line capacity, process flow, utilities (CIP, air, water, steam), and material flow from raw materials to finished goodsDevelop and govern User Requirements Specifications (URS) for manufacturing and packaging equipment, including all critical-to-quality (CTQ) requirementsEnsure manufacturing and packaging designs are fit for purpose, scalable, and capable of achieving required production targetsParticipate in design reviews with Engineering firms, OEMs, and suppliers Installation, Commissioning & Start-Up Support

Support installation, commissioning, and start-up of manufacturing and packaging lines from mechanical completion through operational readinessIdentify gaps, risks, and improvement opportunities during commissioning and start-up phasesSupport smooth transition from project execution to stable manufacturing operationsCapture lessons learned and contribute to updates of manufacturing and packaging standards and specifications Packaging Technology & Supplier Management

Work with packaging suppliers and internal stakeholders to define, maintain, and update packaging specificationsEnsure packaging materials and designs optimize operational performance while allowing for supplier manufacturing variabilitySupport development, optimization, and technical governance of the packaging supplier networkLead or support packaging supplier technical visits, trials, and audits (e.g. SQS as required)Act as a Packaging Subject Matter Expert (SME) for selected key packaging types based on plant needs and Global Packaging guidance Manufacturing & Packaging Operations Support

Provide technical support to filling, processing, and packaging operations, focusing on line stability, changeover robustness, throughput, and loss eliminationSupport investigation and resolution of manufacturing issues related to process performance, filling accuracy, material flow, and utility availability, as well as packaging-related issues, through root cause analysis and corrective actionsDrive improvements in throughput, waste reduction, and process consistencyEnsure manufacturing and packaging processes meet safety, quality, food safety, and regulatory requirements Value Creation & Sustainability

Lead or contribute to value creation projects related to manufacturing and packaging optimizationSupport packaging sustainability initiatives including material optimization, waste reduction, and environmental performanceTrack and communicate project progress, risks, and milestones with local and global stakeholders Documentation & Stakeholder Coordination

Prepare and maintain manufacturing and packaging documentation and specifications related to process parameters, filling conditions, utilities requirements, material flow, and packaging performanceMonitor project progress, CAPEX utilization (manufacturing/packaging scope), and key deliverablesCoordinate with Engineering firms, contractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders to ensure alignment and execution qualityServe as the manufacturing and packaging technical focal point within the Project Nuri Greenfield rollout Qualifications / Requirements

Experience

5-10 years of experience in manufacturing and/or packaging engineering within industrial or FMCG environmentsHands-on experience with filling and packaging lines and packaging materialsExperience supporting Greenfield projects and start-up activitiesExperience working with CAPEX projects, vendors, and external engineering partnersAutomation and Mechanical troubleshooting, preferably having working knowledge of control systemsFood safety requirements of quality, GMP and traceability Education

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Chemical Engineering, or related technical field Technical Knowledge

Strong understanding of manufacturing and packaging equipment, tools, and indirect materialsKnowledge of packaging specifications, CTQs, and supplier manufacturing variabilitySolid understanding of safety regulations, food safety, GMP, and process quality principles Skills

Project coordination and execution skillsStrong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving capabilitiesExcellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skillsDetail-oriented mindset with strong documentation discipline Language

Intermediate to advanced English proficiency (written and spoken) IT Skills

The primary work location is Korea, with minimal travel (up to 20% under normal conditions).Occasional visits to suppliers, concentrate plants, bottling operations, or training centres may be required.
