We are seeking a Project Mining Engineer to play a critical role in bridging the gap between Operations and Technical Services at the Big Bell and Fender Operations. In this hands-on position, you will provide practical engineering support, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and collaborate with site teams to deliver safe, efficient, and value-adding mining outcomes.
This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who enjoys working closely with operational stakeholders and influencing performance through technical expertise and project delivery.

Role responsibilities:
• Assist the operations manager in identifying and implementing business improvement initiatives • Support site leadership to implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and productivity • Monitor productivity data in LiveMine to drive operational improvements • Assist with onsite mine infrastructure planning and implementation (i.e., pump stations, fuel bays, underground magazines, etc.) • Review, monitor and report on operating costs for underground mining activities • Assist the site mining engineering team as required (production, ventilation, projects, planning, etc.)
About the candidate:
• Experienced in Mine Production, Projects and Operations • Strong analytical skills and high attention to detail • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to coordinate multi-disciplinary teams • Ability to identify and complete tasks and opportunities autonomously • Qualification: Bachelor of Mining Engineering or equivalent • C Class drivers manual license • Deswik experience highly regarded • First Class Mine Manager’s or WA Underground Shift Supervisor’s certificate of competency highly regarded
