About this role
Opportunity: This opportunity is ideal for licensed optometrists, especially mid-career optometry professionals ready to take their career to the next level by operating their own optometric practice with the support, visibility, and resources of a leading national eye care company. With low overhead, minimal upfront costs, high-quality equipment, and an established retail setting, you can focus on delivering comprehensive patient care while building your business with confidence. Located in Pensacola, Florida, the role also offers the chance to enjoy coastal living in a Gulf Coast community known for its sugar-white beaches, historic downtown, local dining, shopping, arts and culture, outdoor recreation, and nearby destinations like Pensacola Beach and Perdido Key. Whether you’re an experienced optometrist or ready to step into practice ownership, this opportunity offers the independence to lead your own practice, the support to help it thrive, and a lifestyle that makes it easy to enjoy life outside of work.
Why Us? Established in 2000, this practice is committed to helping individuals experience the gift of optimal vision while enhancing the community’s quality of life through exceptional optometric care in a welcoming environment. With a two-person support team and the backing of a leading national eye care company at the intersection of healthcare and retail, sublease optometrists can focus on delivering high-quality patient care while benefiting from established brand recognition, high foot traffic, marketing support, full onboarding support, electronic health record resources, and advanced diagnostic technology, including Topcon Maestro. Services include comprehensive eye examinations and contact lens fittings, with the goal of providing access and availability five full days a week, including Saturdays, for patients in the community.
What You'll Do: In this full-time role, you’ll provide comprehensive eye care to patients of all ages while supporting a wide range of visual and medical needs, including eyeglass examinations, contact lens examinations, retinal imaging, patient evaluations, vision-enhancing recommendations, and urgent eye care needs. The ideal optometrist will be licensed, comfortable seeing an average of 14 patients per day, and available five days a week, including Saturdays. This role is a great fit for someone who enjoys building strong relationships with patients and support staff, is familiar with EHR software and basic insurance coding, and can clearly and compassionately explain diagnoses and treatment plans while growing their practice in a supportive retail setting.
