About the role
Position Summary A professional in maintenance who is responsible for cleaning and performing basic maintenance on Sulzer’s buildings and properties.Responsibilities
• Assist the Big Bay Division in any way that is required to ensure productivity, quality and safety. • Keep the shop clean, safe and organized. • Transport parts by forklift to various locations on the property as needed. • Clean parts according to environmental and safety regulations established by the company. • Observe all company safety and quality policies. • Practice lean principles in daily work and participate in Big Bay LEAN events. • Proactively engage and support company initiatives designed to promote a culture of safe working, environmental protection and continual improvement. • Comply with the requirements of risk assessments and safety procedures. • Use PPE as identified in risk assessments or other related safety documents. • Do not undertake activities that have not been risk assessed, or where an assessment is not available or understood. • Report any instances of spillage, uncontrolled exposure or other related safety issues to their line manager. • Ensure the correct use of waste segregation facilities and the efficient use of natural resources and raw materials Qualifications: The ideal candidate will possess the following:
