About this role
, Netherlands Worker Type: Interns (Fixed Term) (Trainee) Posting Start Date: August 5, 2026 Job Description: One thing that would be interesting from a renewable energy perspective is low grade heat harvesting. In many processes, low grade heat is produced and wasted. Question is: what is the technology landscape for low grade heat harvesting. What are typical efficiencies of these systems, what applications are envisioned etc. Practically we are looking at a piece of work that does a literature survey/technology scouting to map out all of the options that have been suggested in literature. Subsequently down selection of the most promising ones (criteria to be determined) and after htat a thermodynamic analysis as well as evaluation of practical aspects of low temperature energy harvesting. For reference, this article contains some perspective on a potential technology, but there are many more. Thermolytic osmotic heat engine for low-grade heat harvesting_ Thermodynamic investigation and pote…
