About this role
[What the role is] As an Associate Lecturer with the School of Business, you will facilitate authentic and engaging learning experiences that prepare students for the workplace through learner-centred and industry-relevant education. [What you will be working on] • Facilitate engaging and experiential learning using Republic Polytechnic's Problem-Based Learning (PBL) pedagogy and other learner-centred approaches. • Deliver lessons and facilitate learning in accordance with approved curricula, assessment requirements and academic standards. • Assess students' learning through assignments, projects, presentations and other assessment methods, and provide timely, constructive feedback. • Mentor and guide students in their academic and professional development, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment. • Work collaboratively with Module Chairs and academic teams to ensure effective curriculum delivery and continuous enhancement of the student learning experience. • Teach and contribute to one or more of the following areas: o Financial and Management Accounting o Audit & Assurance o Taxation o Sustainable Finance ESG & Sustainability Reporting o AI & Digital Technologies in Accounting o Risk, Regulatory Compliance and Corporate Governance o Business Law and Company Law
[What we are looking for] • Relevant qualifications in accounting, or a related discipline. A postgraduate qualification will be an advantage. • Professional qualifications such as ACCA, CA Singapore, ICAEW, CPA Australia or equivalent are preferred. • At least 5 years of relevant industry experience in accounting, audit, taxation, sustainability reporting, risk management, or regulatory compliance. • Ability to teach both Pre-Employment Training (PET) students and Continuing Education and Training (CET) adult learners. • Strong communication, facilitation and interpersonal skills. • Experience in teaching, training or coaching will be an advantage.
