STARTING SALARY: $19.00/Hour
STATUS: Seasonal (non-benefitted, 6 months or less); Up to 25 hours per week, may include weekend work

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: High school diploma or equivalent. Previous Wildland or fuels experience is preferred. Candidates must be 18 years or older by time of hire. Requires valid Utah Driver’s License. CPR Certified. Wildland Red Card Preferred. Must successfully complete Sandy City physical requirements. These requirements will include: Walk 3 miles with a 45lb weighted vest in 45 minutes or less. Responsible for the use of discretion and judgment in emergency situations; great responsibility for the care, condition and use of department apparatus and equipment. Ability to communicate verbally and in writing; ability to write reports. Frequent use of fire and medical equipment including hose lines, nozzles, pumps, hydrants, extinguishers, ladders, hand tools, extrication tools, air masks, etc. Ability to analyze and solve problems; establish and maintain effective working relationships with the public and City personnel.
