Job Description
We are seeking a delivery-focused Project Manager to support the successful execution of change, transformation, and continuous improvement initiatives within Group Finance.
This role is responsible for managing projects from initiation through implementation, ensuring delivery against agreed timelines, budgets, and business outcomes. Working closely with business, finance, and technology stakeholders, the Project Manager will drive execution, manage risks and dependencies, and support the ongoing optimisation of processes, systems, and ways of work.
Key Result Areas/Outputs: Change Delivery & Execution
• Manage end-to-end delivery of continuous improvement initiatives, from initiation through to implementation and stabilisation
• Translate prioritised demand into clear delivery plans, timelines, and resource requirements
• Drive execution across multiple concurrent initiatives of varying complexity
• Ensure delivery is aligned to defined business outcomes and value realisation targets
Planning & Governance
• Develop and maintain project plans, RAID logs, and status reporting
• Apply appropriate delivery methodologies (agile, hybrid, or waterfall depending on initiative)
• Ensure adherence to change governance, standards, and controls
• Support prioritisation and sequencing of initiatives in collaboration with the GFE Central Demand Manager
Stakeholder Management
• Engage business, finance, and IT stakeholders to align on scope, timelines, and outcomes
• Facilitate clear communication across impacted teams
• Manage expectations and ensure visibility of progress, risks, and dependencies
Continuous Improvement Focus
• Embed continuous improvement principles into delivery (efficiency, simplification, automation)
• Identify and escalate opportunities for optimisation across processes and systems
• Support benefits tracking and post-implementation reviews
Risk & Issue Management
• Proactively identify, manage, and mitigate risks and issues
• Escalate key risks and decisions in a timely manner
• Ensure dependencies across systems and teams are actively managed
Requirements: Skills, Qualifications and Experience required: Minimum Work Requirements:
• 5–8 years’ experience in project management or change delivery roles
• Experience in finance or enterprise systems environments (e.g., ERP, EPM, data platforms)
• Demonstrated experience delivering continuous improvement or transformation initiatives
Minimum Educational Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in one of the following or related fields:
• Finance / Accounting
• Information Systems / Information Technology
• Business Science / Commerce
• Industrial Engineering (with process optimisation focus)
• Postgraduate qualification (advantageous but not required):
• Honours or Postgraduate Diploma in Business Management, Finance, or Information Systems
• Postgraduate qualification in Project Management or Change Management
• Professional certifications (strongly preferred):
• Project Management: PRINCE2 Practitioner, PMP, or equivalent
• Agile delivery: Certified Scrum Master (CSM), SAFe, or similar
• Change Management: Prosci or equivalent
• Continuous improvement / process optimisation training (advantageous):
• Lean, Six Sigma (Green Belt or similar)
• Business Process Management (BPM) or process re-engineering courses
