This vacancy is for the afternoon shift. Key Responsibilities:
• Perform all maintenance and repair work in either the plant or grounds. • Assure all assembly quality specifications are met by continuously monitoring the assembly processes on the equipment assigned. • Troubleshoot all aspects of the assembly process as required. • Maintain spare parts and components inventory at appropriate levels. Inform the tool crib attendant of low levels or shortage of parts or components in stock. • Maintain up to date documentation of equipment. This includes documenting changes and alterations made to all equipment. • Solve maintenance related problems with minimal interruption to production. • Actively participate in the Preventative Maintenance Program and down time reduction process. This includes following the PMP schedule and completing PMP checklists. • Prepare a list of problems encountered during the shift and other necessary reports. • Document work orders in the MVP system daily. • Participate in the development and implementation of latest technologies to improve productivity and/or quality. • Participate in training to upgrade skills and knowledge to meet changing technologies, customer, government and health and safety requirements. • Make recommendations to improve equipment efficiency and reduce costs. This includes manufacturing, repairs and the installations of parts, components, services, and equipment. • Advise the Manager of any potential problems and offer solutions. • Actively participate in the preparation of safety and operation procedures. • Maintain clean and safe working conditions. • Assist in the training and development of new hires and apprentices. • Provide support to the Welding Support Department, Facilities Department and Press/Toolroom as required.
This job posting is for an existing vacancy. The total cash compensation range for this position is expected to be:
