The chaplain is responsible for the provision of spiritual care services to patients/families/ caregivers according to their desires and beliefs, either directly or through coordination of care with other spiritual counselors. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy service standards. Position Details:

Chaplain Part Time Mercy - Fort Smith

Qualifications Education: Bachelors degree in counseling or related field and specific end of life training per state regulations within 90 days of hiring. OR 1 unit of Clinical Pastoral Education. Licensure: Ordained, commissioned, or credentialed according to the practices of an organized religious group. Must be a licensed driver. Experience: Clinical experience working with patient/families dealing with life-threatening and chronic illness, grief and loss, individual, family and group therapy. Other: Ability to be flexible, open, sensitive and ecumenical; ability to accept different lifestyles, cultures beliefs and values. Good oral and written communication skills; good organizational skills. Ability to work as member of interdisciplinary team. Preferred Other: Has basic computer skills as well as a working knowledge of Windows, Word and Outlook.
