Wood is recruiting for a Turnover Manager to join our team for an immediate start, leading systems completion, mechanical completion, turnover and facility handover activities on a major EPCM refinery project with a valued client partner in Si Racha, Chonburi, Thailand.
This expatriate role is available on an "in country" residential basis, offered as an initial 12-month contract with opportunity to extend your assignment for the life of the project.

Reporting to the Construction Director and working closely with the Commissioning, Quality and Operations teams, your immediate focus will be leading systems completion, mechanical completion, turnover and facility handover activities for a major EPCM refinery project. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring a safe, efficient and structured transition from construction through to commissioning and ultimately into operations. Leading by example, you will consistently display and enforce Wood values and behaviours, reflecting our commitment to the highest standards of safe and ethical conduct while delivering successful outcomes for our client. In addition, you will:
• Lead the development and execution of the project turnover, systems completion, mechanical completion and facility handover strategy, ensuring safe and efficient transition from construction through commissioning to operations • Manage the Certification and Completions team, providing leadership, mentoring, competency development and performance management while fostering a culture of safety, accountability and delivery excellence • Establish and govern systemisation boundaries, Limits of System Handover (LOSH), turnover priorities, completion workflows and acceptance criteria across all project systems and facilities • Accountable for the implementation, administration and integrity of the project's completions and certification management systems, ensuring accurate reporting, data quality, certification status and turnover readiness visibility • Coordinate turnover dossiers, test packs, certification records, quality documentation, punch management processes and mechanical completion activities to ensure systems are handed over in accordance with project requirements • Drive alignment between Construction, Commissioning, Quality and Operations teams, ensuring efficient system turnover, operational readiness and timely resolution of turnover-critical defects, deficiencies and interface issues • Monitor and report completions, certification and turnover performance against project milestones, proactively identifying risks, implementing recovery actions and supporting execution of the project start-up and handover plan • Ensure all completions, certification and turnover activities are conducted in compliance with project procedures, contractual obligations and applicable safety, environmental and regulatory requirements, while promoting a strong field leadership presence through safety reviews, walkdowns and readiness assessments • Act as the focal point for clients, contractors, vendors and project stakeholders on all turnover and systems completion matters, providing technical guidance, assurance and continuous improvement throughout the project lifecycle

Expected You must be eligible to obtain legal working rights in Thailand and be able to pass a pre-employment medical, including a drug and alcohol screen. Suitably qualified with a degree in an Engineering discipline from a recognised institution, you will have 12+ years of industry experience, ideally including proven experience in a Turnover Manager, Completions Manager, Systems Completion Lead or Certification Manager role on a major EPCM project within the Refinery, Petrochemical, LNG or Oil & Gas Processing sector, working with a leading contractor, owner-operator or engineering services company. In addition:
• Proven track record delivering large-scale systems completion, mechanical completion, turnover and facility handover programmes on complex refinery, petrochemical, LNG or oil & gas capital projects. • Extensive technical expertise across systemisation, Mechanical Completion, Limits of System Handover (LOSH), Ready for Commissioning (RFC), Ready for Start-Up (RFSU), turnover execution and operational readiness activities. • Expert knowledge of completions and certification processes associated work methods and completions management systems, together with proven experience maintaining data integrity, certification status and turnover readiness reporting. • Demonstrated ability to read and interpret engineering documentation including P&IDs, Single Line Diagrams (SLDs), General Arrangement (GA) drawings and vendor documentation, with the capability to coach and develop others in their application. • Proven experience managing completions, certification or turnover teams within highly complex, multi-discipline EPC/EPCM project environments, including training, mentoring and development of personnel. • Excellent understanding of project HSEQ requirements, safe systems of work and commissioning interfaces, with demonstrated ability to promote and implement best practice safety behaviours across completions and turnover activities. • Demonstrated experience preparing and reviewing turnover procedures, systemisation plans, completion strategies, certification documentation, readiness assessments and project performance reports. • Excellent organisational, planning and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities, drive closure of critical issues and consistently deliver project milestones in a structured and disciplined manner. • Digital literacy and proficiency with completions management systems, project databases and reporting tools, together with excellent communication skills and the ability to build trusted relationships across client, contractor, commissioning and operations teams. Desirable What will set you apart will be proven turnover and systems completion experience on major refinery, petrochemical or LNG projects within a brownfield operating environment, including integration of new facilities into live operating plants through SIMOPS, tie-ins, isolations, operational readiness and commissioning interfaces. Experience with Hexagon Smart Completions, ICAPS, MCPlus, WinPCS or similar completions management systems, together with exposure to hydrocracker, hydrotreater, CDU, VDU, residue upgrading or other complex conversion refinery units, will be highly regarded.
