At Gloucester Academy, we believe that continuity in learning is essential to pupil success. We are looking for a dedicated Behaviour Supervisor to join our team and play an important role in supporting teaching and learning across the school.

The behaviour and pastoral team embody our values and ethos, they ensure that children can access all lessons and that teachers can teach. They work closely with families, external agencies, children and professionals to ensure that every child can climb their own personal mountains to the very best universities in the country or careers of their choosing.

We will support you by:

Providing line management with an expert in children’s behaviour and school systemsProviding regular professional developmentSignposting external courses Working with an exceptionally supportive and visible senior teamCommitting to ensuring that you always have the right level of support and challenge to do your job successfully. About the Role This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with young people and wants to make a positive impact in a school environment. As a Behaviour Supervisor, oversee the internal exclusion room (RFL), ensuring it runs smoothly, safely, and in accordance with the school’s behaviour policies.

You will play an important role in supporting pupils' progress, promoting positive behaviour and contributing to the smooth day-to-day operation of the school.

To Be Successful In This Role, You Will:

Experience in Pastoral / Behaviour support or relevant work with young people in one of a range of fields such as education, youth work, health and social work.Able to demonstrate empathy; to be supportive, patient and caring and be able to manage potentially volatile situations.Able to demonstrate a commitment to school improvement and raising achievement for all students.Committed to the safeguarding of childrenExperience of working with young people in an educational setting or other setting such as youth clubs or any other voluntary setting involving young peopleAbout Gloucester Academy
