This may involve planning, preparing and delivering learning activities for individuals/groups, or short term for whole classes and monitoring pupils and assessing, recording and reporting on pupils’ achievement, progress and development.Some responsibilites include: Assess the needs of pupils and use detailed knowledge and specialist skills to support pupils’ learningSupport pupils consistently whilst recognising and responding to their individual needsProvide cover for teaching and TA absencesOrganise and manage appropriate learning environments and resourcesMonitor and evaluate pupil responses to learning activities through a range of assessment and monitoring strategies against pre-determined learning objectivesProvide objective and accurate feedback and reports as required on pupil achievement, progress and other matters, ensuring the availability of appropriate evidenceDeliver learning activities to pupils within agreed system of supervision, adjusting activities according to pupil responses/needsAbout You
Successful experience of working with pupils with special educational needs in a classroom environment, promoting high standards of behaviour whilst delivering appropriate and interesting lessons.
Working effectively with individual pupils, groups of pupils and whole classes across the age range within the academy Knowledge and skillsAbility to use ICT for professional and curricular purposesAbility to assess pupil progressAbility to deliver lessons at short noticeAbility to plan and prioritiseUnderstanding of the curriculumUnderstanding of child development and the learning processAbility to use a range of behaviour management strategies in accordance with behaviour policiesHow to Apply
