About this role
TITLE: Lunchroom/Playground/Clerical (L/P/C) Aide QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum High School diploma; basic computer skills required; must be of good moral character IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR: Building Principal and his/her designee. TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Ten month; student calendar; 9 holidays; not to exceed 29.5 hrs. per week PRIMARY FUNCTION: Provides assistance to the Building Principal or his/her designee. Employee may serve in one position or in a combination of positions depending on his/her availability and assignment of the Building Principal. EVALUATION: Performance in this area will be evaluated annually in accordance with Board Policy, administrative directives and be consistent with the terms and conditions of employment
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Collects lunch money, distributes lunch tickets, etc.
• Assists in the supervision of the students in the lunchroom, and playground.
• Assists with student dismissal on half days.
• Makes attendance calls to parents who have not called their child out sick for the day.
• Answers phones, sorts mail, laminates and cuts out materials as directed.
• Covers the main office when the secretary goes to lunch, or other times as necessary.
• Prepares materials for copying and distributes them as assigned.
• Delivers information or materials to offices or classrooms.
• Records information on duplicate copies of report card each marking period.
• Assists in recording attendance, grades and enrollment data.
• Assists in filling in information and affixing student pictures on pupil permanent record cards.
• Assists with gridding test booklets.
• Works regularly scheduled hours on student ½ days.
• Performs such other duties as may be assigned by the Principal or his designee in accordance with the policies of the Board of Education.
