OPEN UNTIL FILLED Estimated Start Date: Immediately Location: Student Support Programs & Services, District Complex, 7227 Land O'Lakes Blvd., Land O'Lakes, Florida 34638 JOB SUMMARY Responsible for assisting teacher(s) in providing a well-organized, smoothly functioning educational environment in which students can take full advantage of the instructional program and available resources, under the direct supervision of a Highly Qualified Teacher. REQUIRED EDUCATION, TRAINING & EXPERIENCE
• Associate Degree, completion of 60 semester hours of college or passing score of 457 on the ParaPro Test
• All employees must satisfactorily complete any required trainings
• All employees must meet all mandated federal and state health requirements
Satisfactory completion required within 6-month period of the following training and/or certification provided by the District:
• Pediatric First Aid/Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)/Automated External Defibrillator (AED)
• First Aid
• Medication administration
• Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI)
• In addition, CPR and First Aid training must be completed every two years and CPI training needs to be kept current and renewed on a regular basis.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
• Ability to communicate using sign language for those working with students who are deaf/hard of hearing
