Job Description: Assistant High School Baseball Coach Position Title: Assistant High School Baseball Coach Reports To: Head Baseball Coach & Athletic Director School/Organization: Clinton High School | Clinton Public Schools (ISD #99) Location: Clinton, OK Job Type: Coaching Position Overview Clinton High School is seeking an energetic, dedicated, and knowledgeable Assistant High School Baseball Coach to join the Red Tornadoes athletic department. The Assistant Coach will work directly under the Head Baseball Coach to instruct student-athletes in fundamental skills, game strategies, and sportsmanship. This role plays a key part in fostering a positive team culture, prioritizing academic success, and preparing players for competition at the varsity and junior varsity levels within OSSAA guidelines. Key Responsibilities Coaching & Instruction
• Assist the Head Coach in planning, organizing, and conducting daily practices, drills, and game-day strategies.
• Provide targeted instruction on baseball fundamentals (fielding, hitting, pitching, base running, and positional play).
• Manage specific coaching duties assigned by the Head Coach (e.g., Pitching/Catching Coach, Hitting Coach, or Infield/Outfield Coach).
Program Administration & Operations
• Help oversee team logistics, including equipment distribution, inventory, setup, and teardown for practices and games.
• Assist in maintaining fields and facilities at the high school baseball complex.
• Support supervision of student-athletes on bus trips, in locker rooms, and at athletic facilities.
• Maintain accurate records of player statistics, attendance, and health/safety forms as needed.
Mentorship & Culture
• Promote physical fitness, healthy habits, sportsmanship, and teamwork among student-athletes.
• Emphasize academic accountability, supporting Clinton Public Schools' athletic eligibility standards.
• Serve as a positive role model and communicate constructively with players, parents, school administration, and officials.
