Location: Special Education Department Job Description: Special Education Para IV (ISP) THESE POSITIONS ARE FOR THE 2026-2027 SCHOOL YEAR TWO POSITIONS AVAILABLE This position is for the 2026-2027 school year to assist teachers with the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for students in the Individual Success Program (ISP). Students placed within the ISP need intensive behavioral, mental health, and life skills support as a result of a verified disability such as Autism Spectrum Disorder, Intellectual Disability, or other impairment. This is an ITINERANT position that will provide additional support and coverage in all ISP classrooms, typically one classroom per day. ISP classrooms are at Cavett and Robinson Elementary, Lux and Moore Middle, as well as East High and Yankee Hill Education Center. Job responsibilities may include individual instruction, small group activities, room supervision, and support as assigned. Hired persons will be trained in behavioral techniques and instructional strategies including, but not limited to, Handle with Care. All activities are performed under the direction and supervision of the classroom teacher along with the building and program administrators. Candidates must be caring, patient, enjoy working with students with behavioral and cognitive needs, and willing to be trained in behavior techniques and instructional strategies. Also, the candidate must have the ability to develop positive relationships, effectively communicate, and apply the practices of cultural proficiency with students, staff and families. 2026-2027 Salary is $22.34/hour This position is subject to veterans preference.
