ADDITIONAL ONE YEAR CONTRACTS MAY BE PROVIDED ANNUALLY AFTER INITIAL HIRE. INTERNAL ONLY Culver Elementary is looking for an enthusiastic staff member to lead our Robotics Club for students in grades 3–5. The Elementary (ES) Robotics Club Advisor will coordinate and oversee the ES Robotics program and competitions. The Robotics Club Advisor will meet with students once a week after school for approximately 12 weeks to explore robotics, coding, teamwork, and problem-solving skills. Students will build and program robots while preparing for an end-of-season robotics event with local schools. They will observe, direct, and manage the work and responsibilities of all aspects of ES Robotics throughout the school year. The ES Robotics advisor will report to the school Principal. This person MUST attend ALL ES Robotics events and competitions, including on non-work days and those involving travel. Position Details:
• Grades 3–5 Robotics Club
• Approximately 12-week after-school program
• Meets once per week after school
Responsibilities:
• Lead weekly robotics club activities
• Guide students through building, coding, and problem-solving challenges
• Encourage teamwork, creativity, and STEM exploration
• Support students in preparing for the end-of-season robotics event
Qualifications:
• Ability and willingness to attend all ES Robotics events
• Ability and willingness to work some days during summer and/or other school breaks
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate in a positive manner
• Desires to be a part of the Culver school community outside of the classroom
• Read, understand and carry out oral and written instructions
• Skilled at using district programs and technology, completing district processes accurately, etc.
