• Liberty Local Schools is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Cook to join our food service team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing nutritious and appealing meals for students while adhering to health and safety regulations. This position plays a critical role in promoting a positive dining experience within our school community. Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare and cook a variety of food items following standardized recipes and established menus. • Ensure meals are nutritious, appealing, and meet dietary guidelines. • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and food preparation areas. • Assist in inventory management, including receiving and storing food supplies in accordance with safety regulations. • Follow all food safety and sanitation protocols to prevent contamination and ensure food quality. • Assist in serving meals during lunch periods and managing food service lines. • Participate in ongoing training to stay current with food service best practices and safety standards. • Support a positive work environment through teamwork and communication. Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent; experience in food service preferred. • Knowledge of food safety standards and practices. • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks. • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. • Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude. • Ability to work well with students, staff, and other members of the school community. Physical Requirements:
• Ability to stand, walk, and engage with students and staff for extended periods. Additional Information:
• This position will be a "float" position between the Blott/Guy and High School cafeterias.
• The employee shall remain free of any alcohol or nonprescribed controlled substance in the workplace throughout his/her employment in the district.
