About this role

Reports To: Nutrition and Food Service/ Director of Financial Integrity and Technology Duty Days: 211 Days Wage/Hour Status: AS03 Pay Grade: Non-Exempt Job Updated : 08-2026 Qualifications: High School Diploma, college hours (preferred) Maintain confidentiality Successful related work experience Electronic communication and public relations skills Extensive computer skills, software application knowledge and file maintenance skills Expertise in all appropriate office machines Ability to work within deadlines and handle frequent interruptions Detail and number oriented Demonstrate strong organizational abilities and high-level interpersonal skills. Flexibility and ability to organize self and others to be self-motivating Cooperative with school personnel, parents and patrons Bilingual in English/Spanish (preferred) Primary Purpose: Accurately overseeing and maintaining all records pertaining to the federal free and reduced program. Serve as liaison between the Nutrition and Food Service Department, kitchen managers, employees and various other departments within the District. Perform high level technology, software functions and practices required for department compliance and efficiency. Major Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist immediate Director with maintaining comprehensive reports and records for eligibility and verification.

• Adhere to Federal, State and Local regulations regarding eligibility, verification, and reviews the TDA Administrative Reference Manual for updates.

• Maintain complete and accurate records, as required for State and Federal School Nutrition Programs Ability to format, distribute, collect, process and file the free and reduced meal applications (paper and online)

• Responsible for the complete processing requirements of the free and reduced meal applications and Direct Certifications.

• Perform annual meal application verification process according to Federal, State and local regulations.

• Meet all Federal, State, and local deadlines for reports and data submissions.

• Research meal sales and applications for proper validation of eligibility and reconcile all eligibility variances regularly.

• Provide professional, friendly and timely internal/external support for child nutrition customers.

• Verify student's account eligibility is updated and maintained accurately in software program.

• Communicate regularly with district counselors, registrars, liaisons and department staff.

• Maintain working knowledge of child nutrition software including troubleshooting, testing and upgrades.

• Update all notification letters and household communications annually.

• Translate written correspondence as required.

• Update all media releases and ensure all public notices are sent to district Communications for annual publication for compliance.

• Must meet annual USDA/TDA Professional Development Standards for professionals' requirements.

• Perform other duties as assigned.
