Position Summary
Credence has an immediate need for a Data Engineer to support the U-2 Airframe Forecasting Dashboard. We are supporting the Air Force by developing a forecasting dashboard powered by AI. This will be delivered initially as a Minimum Viable Product (MVP) in IL-2, with plans to scale to IL-4 in AWS. The product will feature chatbots, dashboards, alerts/notifications, and reports, focusing on demand forecasting, inventory and stock issues, maintenance tracking, and data analysis.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the duties listed below
Must have demonstrated experience deploying solutions and production experience with applications Experience supporting designing, developing, and deploying machine learning models and AI-driven solutions will be key for the successful candidate in this role. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data engineers, software engineers, product managers, and client stakeholders to understand, evaluate and deliver AI solutions that meet the requirements. Conduct data preparation, feature engineering, model selection, training and optimization to ensure optimal performance from the AI models. Design and implement AI solutions using the latest Generative AI technologies and foundation models / large-language models (LLMs). Develop automation scripts for MLOps pipelines in cloud using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for ML model deployment in model inferencing workflows, following best practices of model versioning and CI/CD deployments. Manage AI model performance post-deployment and support AI tool development and best practicesStay updated on AI & ML trends and write clean, maintainable and well-documented code following industry standard Requirements
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or a related field. US citizenship with the ability to obtain a secret security clearance required.Mid-Level Data Scientist 3-7 years of hands-on experience in AI/ML development & deployments of AI projects and/orSenior Level Data Scientist 10+ years of hands-on experience in AI/ML development & deployments of AI projects.Strong knowledge of AI/ML techniques, including supervised, unsupervised, and reinforcement learning, with expertise in Python, AI/ML key libraries, and basic LLM conceptsExperience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes). Experience using ML frameworks and tools in the cloud, such as Amazon Sagemaker. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Base salary: $105,000–$130,000. Final compensation is flexible and will be determined based on the candidate’s experience, technical depth, and clearance level.
