Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and passionate instructor to teach Anatomy, Physiology, and Pathology in our Massage Therapy Program. The ideal candidate will combine deep subject matter expertise with engaging teaching methods to prepare students for successful careers in massage therapy.
Primary Responsibilities
• Deliver introductory level instruction in human anatomy, physiology, and pathology, with specific emphasis on systems and conditions relevant to massage therapy practice
• Assess student learning through various methods including quizzes and homework assignments
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and progress
• Provide regular feedback and support to students
• Collaborate with other faculty to ensure integration of course concepts across the massage therapy curriculum
Required Qualifications
• Health care provider (DC, ND, PT, RN, etc.) or minimum undergraduate level proficiency in anatomy, physiology and pathology
• Strong understanding of adult learning principles and teaching methodologies
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse student population
Preferred Qualifications
• Previous experience teaching in a massage therapy program
• Current or previous massage therapy license/certification
• Experience with hands-on, kinesthetic teaching methods
• Knowledge of current research in massage therapy and bodywork
