Pawnee Nation Behavioral Health is on a mission to revolutionize behavioral health and substance use disorder treatment. Our state-of-the-art facility, offering both inpatient and outpatient services, is set to open in spring 2025 in Pawnee, Oklahoma.

Are you a visionary nurse leader with a passion for behavioral health and substance use disorder treatment? We’re seeking a Director of Nursing to oversee nursing operations, ensure compliance with regulatory standards, and drive excellence in patient care.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:
Clinical Leadership & Nursing Operations
• Provide day-to-day nursing leadership and supervision for designated programs.
• Ensure adequate nursing coverage for all shifts, managing staff scheduling and assignments.
• Participate as a nursing leader on treatment units and facilitate a therapeutic, patient-centered environment.
• Supervise nursing staff, assess clinical competency, and provide ongoing training and development.
• Oversee medication administration and reconciliation, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
Patient Care & Treatment Planning
• Conduct nursing assessments and identify high-risk indicators for appropriate intervention.
• Provide direct nursing care, including interventions for individuals, groups, and families.
• Assist with treatment planning and discharge coordination from day of admission.
• Act as a liaison for hospitalized patients and their families, ensuring seamless care transitions.
• Participate in interdisciplinary treatment team meetings to align care strategies.
Regulatory Compliance & Quality Assurance
• Ensure compliance with state and federal licensing requirements and accreditation standards.
• Conduct quality reviews and maintain compliance with infection control protocols.
• Oversee incident investigations and ensure timely follow-ups on patient safety concerns.
• Maintain licensure and certification requirements, ensuring all nursing staff meet competency standards.

WHO YOU ARE:

QUALIFICATIONS:
✔ State-specific RN Licensure (required). ✔ Bachelor's of Science in Nursing (BSN) or greater degree (preferred). ✔ 2+ years of experience in behavioral health or substance use disorder programs (acute or residential psychiatric care preferred). ✔ Experience in HR administration and nursing team leadership. ✔ Strong knowledge of infection control protocols and regulatory compliance. ✔ Excellent communication, leadership, and crisis management skills. ✔ Must have or be able to obtain a current First Aid & CPR certification within 30 days of hire.
WORK CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
• Setting: Indoors, environmentally controlled facility.
• Physical Requirements: Frequent sitting, standing, and repetitive motions; occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs.
• Communication: Regular interactions via email, phone, video, and in-person discussions.
