The Role
Reporting directly to the CEO, this role carries four critical mandates: transforming the CEO's vision into a high-performance roadmap, leading a PMO that ensures top-tier program delivery, maintaining a Business Operating System (BOS) that guarantees every organizational process is documented and followed, and driving continuous optimization of the company's ERP and enterprise systems to improve operational effectiveness.
Core Responsibilities
Strategic Planning
• Vision-to-Action: Lead annual and quarterly planning cycles to translate high-level vision into actionable, department-specific goals.
• Strategic Alignment: Ensure that every initiative across the company is vertically aligned with the CEO's primary mission and long-term strategy.
PMO Leadership & Program Performance
• Performance Accountability: Direct the PMO to ensure all enterprise-wide programs are delivered on time and achieve their intended business impact.
• Delivery Excellence: Establish health metrics and early-warning systems to identify and course-correct underperforming initiatives before they impact the bottom line.
• Benefit Realization: Track and report whether programs deliver the strategic ROI committed during the planning phase.
• Budget Discipline: Develop and manage program budgets, ensuring delivery within approved scope and financial parameters.
Business Operating System (BOS) & Process Governance
• Process Architecture: Act as the custodian of the Company Playbook, ensuring every critical operating process is documented, standardized, and centrally maintained.
• Standardization: Partner with department heads to eliminate tribal knowledge by converting core workflows into repeatable, scalable operating procedures.
• Operational Adherence: Implement rigorous auditing and compliance mechanisms to ensure documented processes are consistently followed across the organization. To ensure the BOS remains a living system rather than a static manual, you will manage a structured process auditing cycle:
• Quarterly Process Audits: Conduct formal reviews of high-risk and core revenue-generating processes every 90 days to verify compliance and identify bottlenecks.
• Risk-Based Prioritization: Adjust audit frequency based on process criticality, with high-impact processes reviewed monthly where appropriate.
• Corrective Action Tracking: Own follow-up activities for audit findings, ensuring corrective actions are implemented promptly and sustained.
Enterprise Systems, ERP & Digital Operations
• ERP Governance: Own the operational effectiveness of the company's ERP ecosystem, ensuring it supports standardized business processes and strategic objectives.
• Process & ERP Diagnosis: Regularly assess existing ERP configurations, workflows, integrations, and user adoption to identify inefficiencies, process gaps, and improvement opportunities.
• ERP Optimization & Upgrades: Lead ERP enhancement initiatives, upgrades, and continuous improvement projects in partnership with IT and functional leaders, ensuring minimal disruption and maximum business value.
• Business Process Integration: Ensure business processes and system capabilities remain aligned, recommending process redesign or system enhancements where required.
• Digital Transformation: Champion enterprise-wide automation and digitalization initiatives that improve operational efficiency, data quality, reporting, and decision-making.
• Data & Process Integrity: Establish governance around master data, process ownership, and system controls to improve operational accuracy and consistency across the organization.
Stakeholder Engagement & Communication
• Executive Liaison: Act as the de-bottleneck between senior leadership and execution teams, ensuring quicker alignment and decision-making.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Facilitate coordination across functions, geographies, and business units.
• Structured Communication: Establish regular reporting cadences including executive dashboards, status reports, KPI reviews, and governance forums.
Technical Proficiency Requirements
• Program & Project Management (PPM): Expert-level experience with platforms such as Jira, Asana, monday.com, or Microsoft Project.
• Business Process Management: Expertise in process mapping using Lucidchart, Miro, Microsoft Visio, or similar tools.
• Knowledge Management: Proficiency with Confluence, Notion, or equivalent documentation platforms.
• ERP & Enterprise Systems: Strong experience diagnosing, optimizing, implementing, or upgrading enterprise ERP platforms (e.g., Infor LN, SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, IFS, Epicor) and integrating them with business processes.
• Business Intelligence: Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or similar analytics tools for operational reporting and KPI visualization.
Experience & Qualifications
• 10+ years of experience in Strategy, Operations, Management Consulting, Business Transformation, or Operational Excellence.
• Proven track record of leading enterprise PMOs, process governance, ERP transformation, or operational excellence initiatives.
• Demonstrated success driving cross-functional business transformation through process improvement and digital enablement.
• PMP (Project Management Professional), PgMP, Lean Six Sigma, or equivalent certification highly preferred.
Travel:
• International travel of up to 50% of the time
