Rentokil Initial is looking for a hands-on, self-motivated Pest Control Technician to join our team. In this role, you’ll be the first line of defence in the fight against pests, solving customer problems with expert advice and proactive service.
This position is perfect for someone home-based in Masterton.

Key responsibilities:
Conduct thorough site inspections to identify pest activity and determine treatment plansApply pest control solutions and advise customers on prevention/managementIdentify hygiene/environmental risks to create safer, healthier spacesAccurately complete digital service reports post-visitDeliver outstanding, professional customer serviceIdentify opportunities to recommend additional value-adding services
A successful candidate will have:
Full-time, permanent work rights in NZFull, clean driver’s licence and a clean criminal recordStrong customer service and communication skillsPhysically fit with a strong focus on health and safety Comfortable and able to work outdoors in various environmental conditionsSelf-motivated with great time managementHigh attention to detail and pride in high standardsConfident using mobile apps and technologyFlexible to travel and stay away overnight if neededPest control regulations and methods experience is a bonus
Desirable, but not essential:
New Zealand Certificate in Pest Operations - Urban Pest ControlCurrent NZ Firearm LicenceExperience and licences for Working at Heights and Elevated Work PlatformsAbility to operate a manual vehicle
