BAE Systems Precision Strike (PS) business area is seeking a Program Quality Engineer to support the Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) Development program. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the THAAD Development Quality Manager helping BAE Systems address the obsolescence and expanded capabilities of the THAAD Seeker. Requirements flow down and compliance will play a significant part of everyday life. An understanding of development programs will benefit you in this role.

Responsibilities in this role will include support to the buying, validating and verification of test equipment, long lead material, support to the factory build process, product acceptance and customer sell off, first article inspection, non-conformance tracking and management, as well as additional Design Quality support of product development.

Required Skills and Education: • Bachelor's degree and 2-6+ years of relevant experience or 6-10+ years of relevant experience in lieu of degree • Ability to read, interpret and understand a drawing, print and specification • Demonstrated Communication Skills (written, verbal, visual) and interpersonal skills (listening and communicating within a group/team) • Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications including word, excel, power point • Ability to learn BAE Systems hardware, software and data management programs • Proven ability to work in a multi-disciplined team • Ability to work independently with little to no oversight • Producing high quality work in a face paced, dynamic work environment • Requirements Management including creation of non-conformances against requirements and working to resolution and closure • Review, analyze and report on quality discrepancies and data within the program

Preferred Skills and Education: • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a technical field • Prior Quality Assurance Engineering experience • Organizational skills – able to prioritize and understand what needs to be done quickly as an individual contributor • Hands on experience in a Defense Contracting Environment • Preferred active secret clearance • Familiarity with the following: • Manufacturing of complex electronic assemblies • First Article Inspection (FAI) AS9102 • Customer Requirements and flow down into program execution • Preparation of documentation packages for customer review • Quality Management Systems (AS9100) • AS9145 - Advanced Product Quality Program
