About this role
Your mission As <strong>Market Intelligence Manager</strong>, you will help IONITY anticipate what’s next in EV charging, energy and mobility - and translate that into clear insights that shape strategy and execution. You will own recurring market reporting, develop forecasts and models, and provide decision-ready analysis for senior stakeholders across Commercial, Product, Network, and Finance. <br><br>This role sits within Market & Business Intelligence and partners closely with Strategy, Partnerships, Pricing, Network Development, and Operations. <br> <br><strong>Key Responsibilities: </strong><br><ul><li><span><span>Build a market intelligence engine</span></span><span><span>: create a structured approach to tracking market dynamics (competitors, pricing, regulation, OEM moves, charging infrastructure, energy trends).</span></span></li><li><span><span>Forecasting & modelling</span></span><span><span>: develop and </span><span>maintain </span><span>forecasting models (e.g., demand, </span><span>utilisation</span><span>, coverage needs, competitor expansion scenarios), including sensitivity and scenario analysis.</span></span></li><li><span><span>Market analysis & opportunity sizing</span></span><span><span>: </span><span>assess </span><span>new markets, segments, and partnership opportunities; quantify impact and risks.</span></span></li><li><span><span>Trend scouting</span></span><span><span>: monitor and interpret external signals (policy, grid constraints, vehicle parc, technology shifts, customer </span><span>behaviour</span><span>) and communicate what matters.</span></span></li><li><span><span>Reporting & executive-ready storytelling</span></span><span><span>: produce recurring reporting packs and ad-hoc deep dives; turn complex analysis into crisp narratives, charts, and recommendations.</span></span></li><li><span><span>Stakeholder partnership</span></span><span><span>: run insight-gathering rhythms with internal teams; clarify decision questions and ensure outputs are actionable.</span></span></li><li><span><span>Data discipline</span></span><span><span>: define consistent assumptions and “single source of truth” logic across recurring analyses; document methods and </span><span>maintain </span><span>version control.</span></span></li></ul> Your profile <ul><li><span><span>3 - 5 </span><span>years</span></span><span><span> experience </span><span>in market intelligence, strategy/consulting, analytics, competitive intelligence, or a similar role.</span></span></li><li><span><span>Experience in EV charging, energy, mobility, infrastructure, telecom, or other </span><span>network-based businesses.</span></span></li><li><span><span>Experience tracking </span></span><span><span>regulatory and policy</span></span><span><span> developments across European markets.</span></span></li><li><span><span>Familiarity with </span></span><span><span>Power BI</span></span><span><span> (or similar</span><span>), and </span><span>working with data teams / BI pipelines.</span></span></li><li><span><span>Strong quantitative skills: forecasting, modelling, scenario analysis; comfort balancing precision with decision timelines.</span></span></li><li><span><span>Ability to communicate insights </span><span>clearly - </span></span><span><span>excellent </span><span>writing and visual storytelling </span></span><span><span>for executive audiences.</span></span></li><li><span><span>Experience working cross-functionally and managing multiple stakeholders with competing priorities.</span></span></li><li><span><span>High curiosity and structured thinking: you can spot patterns, challenge assumptions, and explain “so what?</span><span>”.</span></span></li><li><span><span>Experience applying ML/AI</span></span><span><span> to market/competitive intelligence </span><span>is a plus </span><span>(e.g., time-series forecasting, clustering/segmentation, NLP for news & filings, automated signal </span><span>detection), including comfort </span><span>validating </span><span>models and </span><span>communicating </span><span>limitations.</span></span></li><li><span><span>Fluency in English</span></span></li></ul>
