Job summary
An exciting new opportunity has arisen for a Costing Manager to join the Finance Team at Royal Surrey NHS Foundation Trust.You will be a CCAB qualified accountant and have excellent interpersonal, communication and negotiating skills. You will be the main costing manager and analyst within the Trust's costing team responsible for producing regular costing models, the national cost collection and the development of the local cost collection.
With the increased focus on productivity in the NHS 10 year plan this role will develop Trust productivity reports to ensure the Trust meets its productivity targets . You will be able to deliver to tight deadlines, to work independently and have substantial experience of leading, managing and developing staff.

Main duties of the job
The Costing Manager will support the Trust by leading the production of regular costing data and the submission of the National Cost Collection. And undertaking detailed analysis of highly complex patient level costing information to support the clinical teams to generate efficiencies and create value.

Job description Job responsibilities
The post holder would be the main costing manager and an analyst within the Trusts Costing Team and would be responsible for producing routine costing models, the national cost collection and the development of the local cost collection. They will also support the Head of Costing in using the with uncovering insights from complex costing and benchmarking data, working with clinicians and divisional heads to improve services and divisions financial performance and planning using costing and finance data.
Person Specification
Qualifications Essential
Educated to degree standard or equivalent, AAT qualified CIMA/CCABqualified (Consultative Committee of Accountancy Bodies) or equivalent experience
Knowledge Essential
Significant knowledge of costing and data analysis Evidence of Continued Professional Development Significant knowledge of financial and accounting procedures and legislation Knowledge of NHS Contracting Experience of developing business cases Experience of advising and working in partnership with non-financial staff in a large and complex organisation Experience of presenting complex technical information to non-finance professionals and multi-disciplinary teams
Desirable
Knowledge of the NHS Finance regime
