An exciting opportunity has arisen for a reliable, motivated and flexible individual to join Community Services and become part of our Administration Team.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and organised individual to provide high-quality administrative and clerical support to Community Clinical Teams working across Urgent Treatment Centres, Resource Centres and Reception Desks throughout Newcastle.
The successful candidate will be part of a dedicated team of administration staff, ensuring the smooth and efficient delivery of services by supporting clinicians, patients and visitors. Duties will include reception cover, appointment management, telephone enquiries, and general administrative support.
Working Hours - This post is for 26 hours per week.
Administration and Clerical staff within the service work on a rota basis between 8.00am and 10.00pm, including evenings, weekends and bank holidays.

Main duties of the job
Provide administrative and clerical support to Community Clinical Teams. Work across Urgent Treatment Centres, Resource Centres and Reception Desks throughout Newcastle. Deliver a professional and courteous service to patients, visitors and colleagues. Maintain accurate records and patient information systems. Support the efficient day-to-day running of community services.

To provide a high standard of support to Clinical staff handling telephone calls. To use an electronic referral process (SystmOne) to ensure requests are responded to in a professional, confidential and efficient manner. To receive requests from patients and carers, acute hospitals, GP practices, Social Services and health care agencies. To communicate directly with members of the public and other services. To abide by Trust policies and procedures. To be an effective part of the team contributing to the departmental objectives. Post holder will be expected to contribute to housekeeping and other office duties as required e.g. general tidiness, pre-determined stock levels are met and equipment is clean, and stored correctly.
