About this role

Job summary

An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated Band 2 Healthcare Support Worker, with a flexible approach to work and an interest in patient care/Radiology services to join our busy, friendly team.

Applicants will be employed on a fixed-term basis.

The post holder will be required to act as a pivotal role in the patient pathway within Radiology supporting clerical and clinical duties as required.

This post is fixed term/secondment for 12 months to cover maternity leave. Anyone wishing to apply for the post as a secondment must seek approval from their Line Manager before applying.

Main duties of the job

To assist trained and medical staff to provide safe care for patients within Radiology.

To support qualified staff in the numerous disciplines within Radiology using knowledge and skills developed in the role.

To contribute to service improvements and communication ensuring safe and timely patient care.

This post is advertised as Welsh Essential. Candidates need to demonstrate Welsh Speaking & Listening skills at Level 3 (equivalent to CEFR B2) or above. This isn't 'fluency'. Level 3 means being able to communicate in Welsh during routine clinical situations, such as welcoming patients, discussing straightforward aspects of their care and answering routine questions. If you're comfortable holding everyday conversations in Welsh, we encourage you to apply.
